Fresh details have emerged about the 2018 killing of businesswoman Monica Kimani.

On Monday, July 18, a court heard a junior police officer from the Recce Squad drove Joseph Irungi also known as Jowie to the murder scene.

The two met at Roadhouse Club near Royal Park Estate, where Jowie lived with Jacque Maribe, thereafter Jowie informed him that he would meet a lady who had just arrived from South Sudan and the Recce squad officer drove him to the destination before Jowie switched cars and took a cab.

Jowie then told the officer to wait for him in a petrol station.

According to the detectives, when Jowie arrived at the gate of Monica’s apartment block, he identified himself as Dominic Harun Bisera and produced a national ID. Police later established the ID belonging to a University of Nairobi security guard.

By then, Jowie had changed from brown shorts, a t-shirt and a red cap into a white kanzu and brownish coat.

Orlando confirmed that Irungu returned past 11pm whereby he looked disturbed and he told Orlando that he had a disagreement with the person he had gone to see.

However, Orlando was not charged alongside Jowie and Jacky Maribe.

The hearing however is set to continue.
