Addressing a fundraising event at Bware Kabondo SDA Church in Kasipul constituency last Saturday, Gladys linked the increasing cost of living to the devaluation of the Kenyan shilling and a scarcity of dollars in the country.

Gladys stated, “The challenging economic conditions we are facing are a result of a shortage of dollars. The government is implementing strategies to address this, and we need to exercise patience.”

She emphasized that the economic difficulties are not solely a consequence of elevated fuel prices, as some might assume, but rather arise from a trade imbalance.
