All the private schools must have acceptable learning and teaching facilities in order to be approved for junior secondary school, according to the Ministry of Education.The State Department for Implementation of Curriculum Reforms Principal Secretary Fatuma Chege told the media after evaluating the preparedness of private schools in Kirinyaga’s Kerugoya Municipality that the government, through the Ministry, will work with private schools to ensure the success of the curriculum.I’m addition, PS clarified that private schools will be permitted to host the junior secondary school if they have fully equipped science laboratories. In her statement she indicated that as the transition to junior secondary start, science subjects will be integrated and the laboratories are key facilities that must be there.The ps further indicated she has paid visit to various private schools and that because each has its own operating style, the majority are at various and advanced stages of meeting the minimum requirements.In addition to classrooms and laboratories, the Teachers Service Commission is training enough teachers to ensure that everything is in order by 2023.
