A baby who was rescued from the wreckage of a Modern Coast bus that plunged into the Nithi River was unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
Painfully recalling the incident journalist Mutuiri Gitonga, who rescued the baby from among the lifeless bodies, he was on his usual itinerary when his colleague at Embu County Assembly called to inform him that there had been a terrible accident.
Gitonga did all that he could to fight for the life of the kid he carried the child on his bosom, He directly called everyone who could help the situation among them Dr Nkonge, Boni Kainga the Chuka Hospital as well as Admin, and Dennis Ndiga.
Gitonga added on that he wanted to save the life of the kid and no one else.
The ill-fated bus has claimed the lives of 34 people.
