Another Kindiki win as operations in Samburu to take illegal weapons from civilians, deal with bandits and bring peace to the area are proving to be successful. Just three weeks into the operation and a large number of illegal firearms have been surrendered, hence his methods seem to be working.
All guns illegally in the hands of civilians must be recovered, CS Interior Kithure Kindiki has said. Kindiki said the multi-agency security team pursuing armed criminals and bandits in the North Rift Valley region will continue to partner with residents to identify and disarm criminals as the CS aims to curb the bandit problem that has derailed development and caused economic havoc for Samburu residents with finality.
The Government appreciates residents of Samburu County who have surrendered 96 guns and hundreds of ammunition. And the operation will go on until there is peace in the area and everything runs smoothly in the area.
