The two have had a strained political relationship since the outcome of the August 9 presidential election.A vociferous Justina who declared her support for President William Ruto on Thursday through her official Twitter handle stated she had quit the party and went ahead to share her resignation letter and another written to Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu to action.“My role as Roots Party of Kenya Presidential Running mate lapsed with the declaration of H.E President William Ruto and H E Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on the 16th of August 2022 and subsequent upholding of the election by the Supreme Court of Kenya on the 5th of September 2022,” she wrote in the letter dated September 21, 2022.“In this regard, I tender my resignation as a member of Roots Party of Kenya. Kindly accord the ORPP the requirements for my name’s prompt removal from your party register.”The registrar in her acknowledgement letter dated September 22, 2022, forthwith deregistered her.“According to the records held by this office as of 22nd September 2022, Justina Wamae is not a member of any registered political party,” stated Ms Nderitu.Justina woes deepened after she defied her boss’s order to resign for failing to adhere to the party constitution and manifesto.The party’s disciplinary committee had threatened to take legal action against her for misrepresentation and irresponsible utterances.Details have emerged that the party leader, Wajackoyah last month 30th actually fired his rebel Deputy and replaced her accordingly.In a notice, Wajackoyah announced new officials and the roles that they would be taking up.He named Yagnik Vinod Ramji the Deputy Party leader.Following her resignation, Justina then took to social media to tell off the party saying the Wajackoyah-led political outfit would now not receive any funding
