He informed that the government is in the process of reviewing laws under which to charge Shakahola suspects under genocide crimes. \u201cWe have evidence that is sufficient to prove charges of genocide and crimes against humanity,\u201d said Interior CS Kindiki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is a case like no other, and we cannot afford to lose it. This case against Mackenzie must be won, the perpetrators must be convicted,\u201d Kindiki said after he revealed that the cult preacher may have extended his criminal activities beyond 800 acres to more than 37,000 acres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.getufm.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/download.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10772\" width=\"365\" height=\"243\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that the area after exhumation will be converted into a national memorial site, \u201cShakahola forest, the scene of crime where grave crimes have been committed will not remain as it was.
