Four establishments were on Tuesday demolished after Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) Director General Daniel Kiptoo raided rogue companies in Industrial Area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a statement, the DG revealed that the raid was conducted in collaboration with sleuths from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) as well as energy police officers and their counterparts from the administrative wing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authority successfully decommissioned four illegal facilities and recovered various exhibits that will aid in investigations against their owners and offer leads towards possible prosecution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The raid comes days after the authority closed 7 companies<\/a> dealing in the sale of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) for non-compliance and malpractice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four of the stations were based in Nairobi County while others were based in Nakuru and Kiambu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They included; Avien Gas Limited, Points Merchant Limited, Bash Gas Limited, Alfa Gas and Geogas Limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
