Sharon Chepkurui Kosgei who was in the car with them survived after sustaining serious injuries and was rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kiptum&#8217;s career in the last two weeks peeking into the intense process he was subjected to before his world record in Chicago last year was ratified as well as his training towards the upcoming Rotterdam Marathon scheduled for April this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In October last year, Kiptum became the first human to run below 2 hours and 1 minute during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kenyans.co.ke\/news\/93673-kelvin-kiptum-wins-2023-chicago-marathon\">Chicago Marathon where he clocked 2:00:35<\/a>.
