The government has made public a comprehensive list of all authorized alcohol manufacturers operating in Kenya. This move comes as part of efforts to enhance transparency and regulation within the alcohol industry. The list includes details of licensed manufacturers across the country, providing consumers with a reliable reference for purchasing alcohol products. The release of this information aims to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote responsible alcohol consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an effort to combat illegal businesses involved in drugs and illicit brew, the Ministry of Interior has published a list of local companies authorized to manufacture alcoholic beverages, complying with Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) requirements. This action follows the government’s recent implementation of new regulations aimed at curbing illicit activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki announced on Wednesday the suspension of licenses for all manufacturers of second-generation alcohol, underscoring the government’s commitment to enforcing stringent measures in the alcohol industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Terming drugs and illicit alcohol abuse a national security threat, Kindiki said the manufacturers will be required to apply afresh within three weeks, during which all existing valid licences will be vetted afresh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
