Notably, Mombasa and Nairobi did not receive funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ksh10 billion funding was sourced from the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank, the German Government, and the County Contribution (County Climate).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kisii received the highest allocation with Ksh420 million, followed by Migori (Ksh409 million) and Kakamega (Ksh401 million). Conversely, Kiambu, Lamu, and Kirinyaga received the lowest amounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Counties in the North Rift, including Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, and Marsabit, received substantial allocations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ndung&#8217;u emphasized that the allocations aimed to support locally-led climate action and resilience initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">President William Ruto&#8217;s administration has prioritized climate change mitigation efforts nationwide.
