As a result, the new salary for the least paid teachers will now range between Sh23,830 and Sh29,787. Meanwhile, the highest-paid teachers will earn between Sh131,389 and Sh162,539.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the salary increments, teachers will also benefit from four types of allowances: commuter, house, leave, and hardship. These allowances will range from Sh3,850 to Sh50,000, with commuter allowance set between Sh4,000 and Sh16,000, housing allowance between Sh3,850 and Sh50,000, leave allowance between Sh4,000 and Sh10,000, and hardship allowance between Sh6,600 and Sh38,100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Chief Executive Dr. Nancy Macharia confirmed that the salary adjustments will be reflected in teachers&#8217; August payslips, with arrears backdated to July 1, 2024, when the implementation began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This latest pay rise follows a similar increment last year during the first phase of the 2021-2025 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), ensuring that teachers will see a significant boost in their August salaries with the release of the backdated amounts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The government has disbursed Sh13 billion to fully implement the second phase of the teachers&#8217; pay deal, bringing relief to educators across the country.
