The Ministry of Health has released Ksh 9 billion to the newly established Social Health Authority (SHA), a payment aimed at addressing outstanding debts owed to healthcare facilities by the now-defunct National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), officials announced Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health Principal Secretary Harry Kimtai added that an extra Ksh 1 billion will go toward the Linda Mama Program, which provides free maternal healthcare services. This funding boost underscores the government\u2019s ongoing commitment to supporting free healthcare for expectant mothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
