The investigation into the death of businesswoman Lucy Ng’ang’a has escalated as detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) join efforts to uncover details surrounding her fatal cosmetic surgery. On Wednesday, November 13, detectives conducted a thorough inspection of the Lavington facility where Ng’ang’a underwent a procedure before succumbing to complications four days later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DCI has summoned the facility’s staff to record statements and seized critical materials, including CCTV footage, for further analysis. The practitioners involved in the surgery are also expected to give accounts of the events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to initial reports, Ng’ang’a\u2019s death resulted from complications linked to perforated intestines, yet the facility\u2019s lawyer, Danstan Omari, disputes this, arguing that such injuries would have led to her passing within 12 hours. Omari maintains that Ng’ang’a left the facility in stable condition and died days later, suggesting the need for further scrutiny of her medical timeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Questions have arisen over the certification and safety standards of the facility. Following Ng’ang’a’s passing, the Ministry of Health and the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council ordered the center’s closure, citing noncompliance with medical and safety regulations\u2014allegations the facility\u2019s legal team has denied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
