The decision, announced on Wednesday, January 15, was delivered by Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka during a press briefing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kalonzo condemned Maalim&#8217;s comments, accusing him of undermining the party&#8217;s principles and the rights of Kenyans. &#8220;Farah Maalim, formerly serving as Wiper&#8217;s Deputy Party Leader, has been expelled for constitutional violations and disrespect toward Kenyan mothers,&#8221; Kalonzo declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reflecting on their history, Kalonzo remarked, &#8220;He was once a reformist, and I campaigned for him in Dadaab. This decision is difficult but necessary. The Constitution may require a written resignation for a position to be vacated, but his actions have eroded his authority.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent weeks, Maalim, the Dadaab MP, has publicly echoed President William Ruto\u2019s controversial calls for parents to &#8216;tame&#8217; Gen-Zs.
