Meru<\/strong> \u2013 A report by Auditor General Nancy Gathungu<\/strong> has revealed questionable expenditures<\/strong> under embattled Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza<\/strong>, including Ksh.2.5 million spent on internet installation<\/strong> at the county headquarters and revenue board offices<\/strong>, despite similar services having been budgeted for and installed in the previous financial year (2023\/24)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report further exposes Mwangaza\u2019s administration for failing to pay contractors<\/strong> a total of Ksh.284 million<\/strong>, causing pending bills to surge by 27%<\/strong> compared to the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Ksh.36 million<\/strong> was allocated to two major projects that have yet to commence<\/strong>, raising concerns about mismanagement and stalled development initiatives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
