Top opposition leaders have strongly condemned the violent clashes that erupted in Kilgoris Constituency, Transmara, Narok County, where confrontations between police and residents over a contested 6,800-acre parcel of land led to the deaths of five civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a unified statement, key figures including People’s Liberation Party (PLP) leader Martha Karua, Wiper Party’s Kalonzo Musyoka, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, ex-Cabinet Secretaries Mithika Linturi and Justin Muturi, DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa, and former PS Torome Saitoti, decried the incident as part of what they called a \u201cdisturbing pattern of state-sanctioned violence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The leaders accused President William Ruto\u2019s administration of enabling land grabs and perpetuating brutality under the guise of state operations. They likened the Kilgoris incident to recent disputes in Mavoko, Ndabibi, and Nairobi, where they claim similar injustices occurred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opposition leaders pledged to escalate these alleged violations to international platforms, including the International Criminal Court (ICC), to seek accountability and justice for affected communities. They also called on civil society and human rights watchdogs to document and expose such incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
