Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi\u2019s Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) party has officially left the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition for the Deputy President William Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza Alliance.Kingi termed the move as one driven by Kenyans\u2019 needs and not individual interests of top politicians and he ditched Azimio due to a number of things \u201cThis agreement is not about leaders, it’s about the people and their issues.\u201d Kingi said<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further vowed to address marginalisation of the coast region, land injustices, as well as tapping the blue economy to benefit locals. DP Ruto welcomed PAA to his party saying that all constituent parties within his alliance were treated with respect and openness.Kingi\u2019s decision comes on after Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader Alfred Mutua\u2019s move to Kenya Kwanza where he claimed the party had been kept in the dark about internal affairs <\/p>\n\n\n\n
