Dennis who spoke exclusively to Journalist on Monday at the DCI Headquarters denied killing Samuel Mugota, saying he had only met him twice, in Nairobi and Meru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also confirmed that he has a fraud-related case in court in which he is accused of receiving money believed to have been acquired through fraud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Detectives on Friday said Gachoki used a firearm that was stolen from an intoxicated officer at a popular joint in Mombasa in November 2020 to ruthlessly execute Muvota along Mirema Drive in Nairobi\u2019s Roysambu neighbourhood on Monday, May 16, afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hours after the murder, forensic cyber detectives were able to use Gachoki&#8217;s phone to triangulate his position to Burnt Forest in Uasin Gishu but the trail went cold with sleuths of the opinion that the suspect successfully fled to a neighbouring country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gachoki has apparently been on the DCI\u2019s radar for quite some time owing to his alleged involvement in the \u2018Pishori\u2019 syndicate but efforts to reel him in have proven unsuccessful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"302\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.getufm.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/man-aaaaa-1.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7722\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.getufm.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/man-aaaaa-1.webp 302w, https:\/\/www.getufm.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/man-aaaaa-1-300x268.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 302px) 100vw, 302px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dennis Karani Gachok, the prime suspect in the murder of controversial businessman &#8216;Mchele Boss&#8217; in Mirema Drive Nairobi, has surrendered to DCI a week after his manhunt was launched.
