Ugandan opposition leader Robert Kyugulanyi popurlaly known as Bobi Wine as finally spoken about his arrest and detainment in Dubai where he went ahead to blame the case on the Ugandan government saying that the government was trying to block him from going there to fundraise money that was meant to bring back Ugandans stranded in the countries in the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bobi Wine has claimed that he was detained at Dubai Airport Detention Centre for more than 12 hours as he was quizzed by authorities. On Saturday the Musician turned politician Bobi Wine has revealed how the Ugandan Government had instructed the airport officials to block him from holding a charity concert in the country. Ugandan Minister of foreign affairs responding to Bobi Wine claims went ahead to say that Bobi Wine was just a noise maker with no sense in whatever he was saying terming the claims made Wine as Rubbish .The foreign Affairs minister said that Uganda as more important business to deal with as a government other than Bobi Wine. This is what Bobi Wine said \u201cWhen I arrived at the airport at about 8pm, I noticed that there was an unusual deployment, so I was taken into a room and they started to interrogate me,They asked me political related questions whether I was going to hold a rally or a music concert.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere were many people and during the time I was with them, they cried about how they are struggling for freedom and many of them knew me and they were calling me by name. These people are held on different cases but I had all the documents needed,\u201d Bobi Wine said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was later released but his concert was cancelled and he could not hold the fundraising since the government of Dubai doubted whether Bobi Wine concert was politically motivated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
