Ugly scenes unfolded today in Mandera where al-Shabaab Militia attacked Libehiya Primary\u00a0school demanding for teachers , the militia attacked the said teachers claiming that they had been posted from other counties and not from the area , the attack took place on Wednesday 12th October. Alarmed by the sounds of the gunshots the said teachers escaped to hide for their safety. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ambush was part of a spate of attacks in Northern Kenya county, including a recent one where a telecommunication mast was destroyed. In another attack in the area the militia had exchanged bullets with police officers from Mandera police station before they disappeared. \u201cToday, two rocket-propelled grenades were fired at a mast by persons suspected to be Al Shabaab terrorists followed by massive gun sounds from AK-47 rifles prompting officers at the camp to move with speed and respond to contain the situation,\u201d an officer stated.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As of right now calm as been restored i.n the said area around Libehiya Primary\u00a0School as police officers have been deployed their to man the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
