Government is set to start buying cheaper fuel from Saudi Arabia in August so as to ease the increased price of fuel products. Fuel prices increased by Ksh.9 nationwide following an evaluation by the energy and Petroleum Authority (EPRA). The deal will see Saudi supply National Oil Corporation of Kenya (NOCK) with refined fuel at exclusively lower prices.
NOCK CEO Leoparan Ole Morintat, in an interview said that they have already signed the MoU and that contract negotiations are underway with a plan to start trials in August.
