Several Meru residents have expressed concerns about politicians inscribing ugly writings on walls and public places in Meru Town.According to Mary Karendi, a businesswoman in Gakoromone, politicians should make use of digital campaign avenues to communicate to voters.”Nobody takes you seriously when you go painting your name on walls, roads and public toilets. We confuse you for a ‘chokora’. It makes our town look ugly.” Karendi says.”If you don’t have money for campaigns, just start fundraising now. In 5 years you will have convinced enough friends to support your bid. Then you can contest in 2027.” says Mr. Joe Mweteri.
