The singer’s hit song made history as the first No.1 hit on the official MENA chart(the world’s first regional streaming chart).

The remix of which, with Selena Gomez, peaked at No. 6 on the “Billboard Hot 100” and led the U.S. Afrobeats Songs for a record-setting 35 weeks and number 1 on Billboard Global Excl. U.S. Chart.

His debut album ‘rave & roses’ became the first African album to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify, he has since enjoyed musical success in his songs including a sample from fellow Nigerian artist Crayon’s track “So Fine”, charting five months after its official release. It then became the most-viewed Afrobeats video on Youtube

On February 2023, Rema received the Digital Artist of the Year award at the Soundcity MVP Awards which were held at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos and now to add to that success his song make’s it to the Guinness world record.
