The Senate has appointed a special committee that will embark on investigating grounds upon which Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza was impeached by ward representatives. In the first sitting of the Senate, Speaker Amason Kingi had a hard time calling the House to order as the leaders differed in the inception of the impeachment motion. Among the senators in the 11-member committee are; Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Uasin Gishu Jackson Mandago, Kiambu’s Karungo Thangwa, nominated Esther Okenyuri, Peris Tobiko, Mandera Roba Ali, Migori Eddy Oketch, Lamu Joseph Kamau, Kakamega Boni Khalwale, Machakos Agnes Kavindu and Taita Taveta Johnes Mwaruma
