UPDATE: Former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i charged with two alleged counts; Conspiracy to cause a felony & Publication of false information.
DCI accuses him of attempting to cause panic amongst Kenyans by claiming that his house had been raided by a battalion of officers intending to arrest him.
The detective also accuses him of publication of false information claiming that Police had raid his Karen home which is contrary to section 23 of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes.
Matiang’i has vehemently denied the allegations & decides to invoke the right to remain silent and declares he has nothing to say.
