Passengers on a Mombasa-bound Madaraka Express train on Wednesday witnessed a heartwarming moment as a woman welcomed a newborn baby.
According to a post shared on Twitter by Kenya Railways, the woman welcomed her baby with the help of a doctor who happened to be onboard and a passenger attendant.
“We were blessed to have Dr. Indanyenyi Luseso on board who performed the delivery, assisted by our Passenger Attendant, Ms. Mary Nyiha,” Kenya Railways wrote alongside images showing an attendant holding the baby.
The woman was later rushed to Mariakani sub-county hospital for further medical assistance.
“Both the mother and the baby are okay. We wish her well.” Madaraka Express said.
