Tharaka Nithi business mogul Mr. Murungi Baituru has been confirmed dead. It is said that Mr Murungi died after an accident in his business premises.
Murungi was a nominated MCA in Tharaka Nithi County Assembly and the Chairman of National Chamber of Commerce, Tharaka Nithi County chapter.
Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki described Murungi, a former teacher as a visionary and dedicated member of the community who also served previously served as the chairman of the County Liquor board.
“On my behalf, that of my family as well as Tharaka Nithi County Government, I relay my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late Baituru as he was commonly known,” wrote Njuki.
Maara Mp Kareke Mbiuki has also passed his condolences saying the late Baituru has had an accomplished career in business spanning several decades.
“My sincere condolences to Hon. Rael Fatuma Murungi, the entire family, business community and friends of Baituru during this difficult time,” added Kareke.
