MERU HIGH COURT THROWS OUT WITH COSTS A CASE SEEKING TO CHALLENGE THE APPOINTMENT OF GOVERNOR KAWIRA’S PERSONAL ASSISTANT MIRIAM KARWIRWA.
In a ruling delivered today by justice Edward Murithi, the court upheld a Preliminary objection raised by the Governor’s lawyers where they had argued that the court lacked jurisdiction to hear and determine the suit since the Petitioner had not exhausted other dispute resolution mechanisms provided for by law.
The court ruled that the Petitioner Joseph Gikundi had bypassed the procedure when he rushed to court seeking the removal of Ms Miriam Karwirwa who is a public officer employed under the County Government.
