Two were arrested by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives for trying to get assistance while posing as high-ranking intelligence officers.
According to a statement released on Friday, the suspects visited the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road and tried to pose as officers from the Directorate of Military Intelligence and National Intelligence Service respectively, asking for assistance in arresting an unnamed individual supposedly involved in money fraud, citing frustrations from the investigation officer in trying to identify the said suspect.
The DCI detectives, however asked the two to provide their identification documents, which they were unable to produce hence subjected to further background checks where it was established that they were impersonating leading to their arrest and subsequent arraignment.
