Police officers in Mount Elgon, Bungoma County have began investigations into the death of a 40-year old man suspected to have been murdered over a love affair.
In a statement, the National Police Service said the deceased was found lying in a pool of blood on the floor of his house in Mt. Elgon, Bungoma County.
Police suspect the deceased was stabbed by a man who suspected him of having a love affair with his wife. The police also believe that the deceased succumbed to his wounds following the incident.
the officers recovered a kitchen knife and a blood-stained bed sheet from the scene of the crime which have now been marked as exhibits.
The deceased was rushed to Mt. Elgon Sub- County Hospital where he was unfortunately pronounced dead while undergoing treatment.
Consequently, the deceased’s body was transported to Dreamland Mission Mortuary where it awaits an autopsy.
