Anthony Kimani secured his inaugural victory as the head coach of Ulinzi Stars, guiding the military team to a 1-0 win against Sofapaka in an FKF Premier League match held at their Sports Complex in Lang’ata on Sunday.
Before this game, Kimani, who took on the coaching role at the beginning of the season, had experienced a string of three consecutive losses. However, a brilliant freekick by Boniface Muchiri provided him with a significant lifeline.
In other matches, Posta Rangers maintained their position at the top of the FKF PL standings with a 1-0 victory over Murang’a Seal, while in Kakamega, Homeboyz rallied from a goal behind to draw 1-1 with second-placed Gor Mahia.
Nairobi City Stars also came from behind to defeat Nzoia Sugar 2-1, and KCB and Bandari FC played to a goalless draw.
