Investment, Trade, and Industry Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has declined requests to delay his scheduled visit to Meru County on Monday for the launch of the County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP). Despite concerns about political unrest within the Meru County government, Kuria has decided to proceed with the event as planned. He received requests from fellow politician Mithika Linturi and Meru’s leadership to postpone due to the current political situation, but he emphasized that the pressing issues of unemployment and poverty cannot wait, and it’s crucial to address them promptly. Kuria also mentioned that similar challenges have arisen in other counties where he launched industrial parks, but those events were successful with the support of county leaders. He urged the conflicting leaders in Meru to set aside their differences for the sake of the county’s development.
