The Ministry of Lands and Housing is inviting the public to purchase affordable housing units in Bondeni, Nakuru County. Interested buyers should visit the site for viewing and register on the Boma Yangu Portal (https://www.bomayangu.go.ke/) to buy two-bedroom units at Ksh.3.15 million and three-bedroom units at Ksh.4.25 million.
Buyers need a 10% deposit to qualify and can opt for a rent-to-own home loan with monthly rates of Ksh.16,997 for two-bedroom houses and Ksh.22,933 for three-bedroom houses. This initiative is part of President William Ruto’s plan to provide housing for over 6.5 million Kenyans in slums, aiming to construct 250,000 houses annually for low-income earners. Despite a legal challenge on the Housing Levy, Ruto remains committed to the project, seeing it as a solution to unemployment.
