Tension persists in Baringo as two additional individuals were fatally shot on Tuesday evening by armed bandits in the Yatya area of Baringo North Sub-County. The attackers, as per the police, ambushed the men near the center, firing indiscriminately and killing them instantly. This event heightened anxiety in the region, leading locals to flee amid concerns that armed bandits are holding the village hostage. This incident occurred shortly after another attack where armed bandits targeted a family, resulting in the death of a man, his wife, and their two-year-old child. The family was ambushed on their way to a pass-out ceremony, and all three were fatally shot. The man died immediately, while the wife and child succumbed to injuries despite local rescue efforts. The bodies were subsequently transported to Baringo County Referral Hospital Mortuary
