Eating fermented cabbage three times a day reduces excessive weight among men, scientists have found.In a study published in the BMJ Open journal, salted and fermented cabbage, along with other ingredients like onions, helps reduce obesity.The basis of the study is that cabbage contains minerals like fiber, acids, and vitamins that help reduce excess fat in the male body.Obesity is one of the diseases that cause death. In 2014, the Kenyan government released statistics showing that obesity causes 39% of deaths annually.Obesity is caused by consuming foods that increase energy and fat in the body, such as maize meal, rice, protein-rich foods, salty minerals, and fats.The study recorded in the BMJ Open journal involved people who ate cabbage once a day and those who ate it three times a day.It was found that those who ate fermented cabbage three times a day reduced obesity, while those who ate it once a day reduced it to a lesser extent.On the other hand, those who were obese and did not eat cabbage continued to suffer from high weight. Therefore, the study clearly showed that eating cabbage in one way or another helps reduce obesity, which remains one of the world’s terrifying health problems.However, there is concern that the high salt content in cabbage is risky for health.
