Deputy Governor Isaac Mutuma stunned the public and political observers with his startling revelation that Governor Kawira Mwangaza had allegedly resorted to intimidation tactics in an attempt to force his resignation. Mutuma accused Mwangaza of issuing threats and applying undue pressure to compel him to step down from his position.
Mutuma further lamented being excluded from several county meetings, which he claimed discussed major issues affecting Meru.
The DG previously accused the governor of denying his office funding, adding that his security personnel was also withdrawn without receiving a notification, also alleged that his office was moved from the county headquarters, where all other offices are situated.
Governor Mwangaza has faced significant opposition, including facing impeachment twice, which she survived after the senate ruled in her favour.
