Further notable figures present included National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah and Senator Aaron Cheruiyot. A pre-meeting letter by United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary General Cleophas Malala underscored the session’s purpose of evaluating the government’s performance since Kenya Kwanza’s assumption of the Presidency.

The session commenced promptly at 7:00 am, with an invitation letter to the MCAs articulating the agenda: “The caucus is expected to engage and reflect on the success of the Kenya Kwanza government and to deliberate on the forthcoming coalition activities.”

The grassroots elections, initially slated for December 9, 2023, have encountered several setbacks, attributed to the ruling coalition’s ongoing adjustments to accommodate diverse perspectives within the political entity.
