Tragedy struck the Munyaka area in Nyandarua County on Monday, March 11, as residents were plunged into mourning following a horrifying incident where a man killed his estranged wife and daughter.
Reports indicate that the man and woman had been living separately, with the estranged wife renting a house near the Munyaka Police Station along with her children. The assailant tracked down his wife to her new location, launching a vicious attack that resulted in her untimely death, inflicted with a crude weapon.
The situation turned even more devastating as one of the couple’s children, a form two student, witnessed the gruesome murder of her mother and attempted to seek help from neighbors. Tragically, the assailant caught up with the child, fatally attacking her from behind.
The harrowing sequence of events concluded with the assailant taking his own life by hanging.
