The kin of Samuel Muturi Wanjiru, a US Marine, are distraught following his disappearance after a vacation with his girlfriend in Puerto Rico.
Speaking to media on Sunday, April 14, Muturi’s mother disclosed that her son had been missing since March 27, and all efforts to locate him had been in vain. She recounted that Muturi and his girlfriend left home for a short holiday in Puerto Rico to celebrate his birthday. Upon arrival, he assured her of their safe stay.
The following day, they went swimming in the ocean, but Muturi’s girlfriend soon left, claiming fatigue. Muturi continued swimming, but a strong wave knocked him down, and he hasn’t been seen since. His mother expressed shock, questioning how he vanished while swimming near the shore.
Despite their search efforts, Muturi remains missing, and his mother lamented the lack of assistance from the US military, relying solely on family efforts. She praised her son’s bravery and appealed for financial and prayer support from well-wishers
