Lang’ata MP Felix Odiwuor, also known as Jalang’o, has shared insights into his experiences working with both Azimio leader Raila Odinga and President William Ruto. In an interview with mdia, Jalang’o praised President Ruto, particularly noting his generosity.

Jalang’o described his work with the President as involving long meetings with tight deadlines, often taking place at State House, Nairobi. He mentioned that President Ruto has a preference for tea, especially in the evenings, and has a strong dislike for alcoholic drinks and those who consume them near him.

The MP recounted instances where he considered drinking alcohol during meetings at State House but refrained out of respect for the President. “During the State House discussions, it reaches a point where I excuse myself from the President to go out and have my drinks with other friends,” Jalang’o narrated. “How can I dare take alcohol in front of the President while he is busy taking tea? Where do I even get the courage to do that? I respect State House because that is his residence.”

When questioned about his current relationship with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga, Jalang’o expressed that they were on good terms. He described Raila as his leader, a humble and forgiving person. Jalang’o mentioned that he primarily engages with Raila on political matters and when he needs resolutions to specific issues. “Raila is my leader and he is a very nice guy who possesses a lot of humility and is a very forgiving person,” Jalang’o stated.

The legislator’s remarks shed light on his balancing act between his political affiliations and his respect for both leaders.
