Parents demonstrate at Shimo la Tewa High School in Mombasa county demanding for the transfer of the principal. During the demonstrations, the parents complained about the poor academic performance of students where the majority scored D.
They added that there is mishandling of funds in school whereby they had contributed Ksh 5M for the purchase of new school bus which the school is yet to acquire . This resulted to them demanding the transfer of the principal , Mathew Mutiso, within a period of seven days.
However , Mr Mathew counter-attacked claiming that the school’s performance was solid and that plans were in progress to purchase the school’s bus.
