In a heartwarming turn of events, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has offered to sponsor the education of 11-year-old Princess Angel, potentially paving the way for her dream of becoming a lawyer. The Deputy President made the announcement via his social media channels, praising Princess Angel for her exceptional poetry skills in both English and Kiswahili.
Gachagua was deeply impressed by the young girl’s linguistic talents, showcased during the Akurinu National Prayers Conference in Nakuru. Her refined and soothing delivery of poetry left a significant impact on the Deputy President and his wife, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi.
Moved by her performance, Gachagua and the Second Lady invited Princess Angel and her mother, Ann Kariuki, to their official residence in Karen, Nairobi. “I was delighted this morning, with my spouse Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, hosting the pretty Princess and her mother for breakfast at the Official Residence in Karen, Nairobi,” the Deputy President shared.
During their meeting, Gachagua and his wife promised to fully sponsor Princess Angel’s education through to her tertiary studies. Additionally, she will be enrolled in Utawala Academy in Nairobi, where she can further hone her skills.
“I will take care of her education needs until she becomes the heavyweight lawyer she desires to be,” Gachagua affirmed.
The Deputy President was seen engaging with Princess Angel as they walked around his residence, accompanied by her mother. This act of generosity is not an isolated incident; just a month ago, Gachagua committed to sponsoring ten students from Pwani University during a visit to the institution.
“I will pay the school fees for 10 students who are very needy as a way of remembrance of my visit,” Gachagua stated during his visit to the university in Kilifi County.
