Last Tuesday, during the first of the week’s anti-Finance Bill protests in Nairobi, videos of Frank Okoth, a young Gen Z protestor, circulated widely on social media. The footage depicted him either gasping for air, his body riddled with bullets, or being taken into an ambulance, seemingly lifeless, hours after being shot by police during the protests at Parliament.
These images fueled speculations about his state of health, with some even declaring him dead. However, Frank, defying the odds, has survived the six bullets and lived to tell his story.
