Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, addressing mourners at the memorial service for the 21 pupils who died in the Hillside Endarasha Academy fire, expressed his sorrow, saying, “Much as none of us welcomes death, it is much better for parents to be buried by their children than parents to bury their children.” He also thanked the people of Nyeri for the unity they’ve displayed over the past three weeks in support of the affected families.
