Speaking during a panel discussion with the media, Gakuya criticized the National Assembly’s leadership for engaging in partisan politics. He pointed out that Speaker Moses Wetangula and Deputy Speaker Gladys Boss’s open stance on the matter compromised the integrity of the motion, which is expected to be tabled today.

Gakuya added that Wetangula’s support for the impeachment clearly indicates that the deputy president’s fate is already sealed.
