Detectives working on the case of a severely mutilated body found at Lang’ata Cemetery on October 31, 2024, suspect the same perpetrator is responsible for the infamous Eastleigh murders.

The primary suspect, Hashim Dagane Muhumed, who is accused of killing a mother, her daughter, and her 12-year-old niece in Eastleigh, has emerged as a key figure in the investigation. Evidence collected from the scene led officers to track the victim’s movements through the city, including a stop at Quickmart on October 29, where CCTV footage showed her shopping.

Further investigation revealed she later went to a Lavington apartment. Surveillance footage captured her entering the building, accompanied by Dagane, who lived there. The two spent time in the flat, and on October 31, Dagane was seen leaving the premises with two bags. Authorities suspect the bags contained the victim’s remains, which were discovered at the cemetery hours later.

Following the grim find, the apartment owner reportedly cleaned and repainted the flat before disappearing. Authorities are now searching for him, confident that his arrest will yield new details.

The victim, believed to be Deka Abdinoor Gorone, had been reported missing on October 24. Forensic experts are working to confirm her identity.
