Police in Adungosi, located in Teso South Constituency, Busia County, have apprehended a 30-year-old Ugandan man accused of killing his one-and-a-half-year-old daughter in a shocking act of violence. The man, reportedly employed as a herdsman, allegedly attacked the child with a panga after a heated argument with his wife, who had subsequently left their home.

The incident has left the local community reeling. Angered residents confronted the suspect after the incident, but police intervened, preventing further violence and taking him into custody. He now awaits arraignment as investigations proceed.

The young victim’s body has been transported to Alupe Hospital morgue for storage pending further forensic examination.
