The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has refuted social media claims alleging that Lugulu Girls’ High School’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results have been released.
On Wednesday, January 15, rumors circulated online, accompanied by images, suggesting that Lugulu Girls had achieved an impressive mean grade of 10.2265, with all students qualifying for direct entry into higher education institutions.
KNEC, however, labeled the circulating posts as “FAKE” in a statement shared on their official social media platforms.
Lugulu Girls is one of five schools whose KCSE results remain uncertain. Other affected schools include St. Peter’s Abwao Secondary School in Migori County, Mama Malia Academy in Kitui County, Kipsingei Mixed Secondary School in Bomet County, and Katilu Boys High School in Turkana County.
The council continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the withholding of results for these institutions.
