Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has taken a swipe at President William Ruto over his recent remarks in Northeastern Kenya, where he boasted about his PhD status.
During a tour of Garissa County in early February, Ruto dismissed critics, arguing they lacked the academic credentials to challenge his policies on health, university education funding, and the cost of living.
However, speaking on Wednesday, Gachagua countered Ruto’s claims, suggesting that despite his PhD, the president’s leadership had led to economic turmoil and governance challenges in the country.
